Being one of the pioneers of 3D mapping in the smart building industry, we at WRLD have always felt it as our responsibility to constantly introduce tools to enhance user experience and ensure ease of use. It is for this reason, that we would proudly like to introduce our Asset Tool.
Assets, in this context, are the office furnishings like desks, tables, chairs, sofas etc. The Asset Tool will essentially allow users to upload the virtual assets that they need for their indoor plan by using our WRLD Indoor Map Design Tool and a CAD (Computer Aided Design) file.
The complete process, the details of which can be found here, is fairly simple and will require beginner level programming skills. Here are some of the features of the tool.
Dual file format options
Your assets can be uploaded in two file formats, namely CAD files and Geojson.
Picking assets of your using the interface
3D models which can be pre-categorized into various asset categories that will allow the user to pick and choose assets of their choice and drop them at a pin point location. A collection of assets can be categorized into sets which can then be made accessible to different users.
Customizing asset properties
- Multiple and different sets of assets can be edited and maintained independently
- Published set of assets will be visible to users of the app
- Assets will have modifiable properties such as ID and name so as to make them easily identifiable
- Assets can be dragged, dropped and rotated at the click of a mouse
- Elevation of asset can also be adjusted
- Multiple assets can be selected at a time which can then be dragged and shifted to desired location on your 3D indoor map
The tool provides an unprecedented level of customization, the parallels of which are difficult to find in the Smart Building space.
